PTO Meeting Agenda - March 7th, 2023

Present at Meeting in person: Jenny, Katie, Jen, Kristen, Trina, Amanda , Emily 

Welcome/Introductions

Treasurer’s Report - Kristen Tyler Current amount in checking - $31,284.65 ($1,000 deposit to make today and corporate sponsor payments as well are in there)

Walk-A-Thon

  • Shirts- Adult shirts are tye die and students are solid red goal to spend on t shirts is $5,630

  • Packets going home tomorrow- Packet will include a letter, pledge form and a sheet with step by step instructions for online pledges 

  • Volunteers for Cheering (2 shifts) sign up genius will be coming 

  • Order Chalk and Pom Poms for cheering

        Tuesday March 28th PTO will come decorate the pavement with chalk

  • Get Schedule from Carrie

  • Thursday, March 23rd PTO will come in to school at 9:30 to organize shirts 

Donut Holes from Preschool Prom

  • Prom is March 24th they are requesting PTO pay for donuts the will be placed in cupcake liners portioned in  individual portions

  • Donut Haus quote - $150

  • Bills quote - $140

  • Dunkin Donuts - $130

  • PTO voted on using Donut Haus Katie Phillips will be picking them up 

  • Order one week in advanced

Author Visit, Amanda Driscoll

  • March 7th and 8th

  • She is kindly only charging us $840 which includes her mileage and gas

Snacks and lunch will be provided for her. She will have Roma’s pizza and salad today for lunch, unsure what we will order tomorrow. We will be reimbursing Mrs. Schlise for sign which was printed at staples for the visit.

  • PTO will write check today

Conference Meal

  • Only for Thursday- PTO wil order chipotle and provide desserts 

  • 75 people

Book Fair Dates 

  • April 24th-28th

  • Sign up genius rom Mrs. Schlise

Military Breakfast

  • Friday April 14th 

  • We provide food and decor

  • 62 possible kids if they all come-  active duty and reserves only for this breakfast 

  • 937 Inc will be making shirts for Purple Up for students to purchase 

  • Shirts will be on sale March 13- end of March 

  • One student in each grade with have a dandelion on the sleeve of their shirt - all winning t shirts their class will get a popsicle party 

  • Amount budgeted $300  for donuts holes, muffins and fruit and juice and milk

May - Homeless Shelter Drive

  • Hope House Mission- they are located in Middletown they have very little supplies and goods for meals for homeless women and children. Their budget is very low. They are in need of snacks, staples, fruit, vegetables, etc We will have a very specific list of items needed as far as food items for kids in the shelter 

  • Prizes for the top class who brings in the most 

1st grade Splash Night

  • Begin getting quotes for slides

  • Kona Ice provided paid by parents and will have parents bring their own lawn chairs

  • Legislation in Ohio House Bill One which will be discussed at our next meeting, PTO is being asked to research to discuss
