PTO Meeting Agenda - April 11th, 2023

Treasurer’s Report - Kristen Tyler Current amount in checking $54,842.11

Walk-A-Thon Recap 

  • Shirts- 937 ink ($5,630 original quote) - actual cost came to $5,687.76 This change came due to having to purchase several shirts a week before. This bill was paid on 3/29/23 

  • HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!  

  • “It’s not a Walk-A-Thon is a Walk-A-Fun!” 

  • 362/949 student participation in fundraiser 38% 

  • Online giving = $25,107

  • Cash and Check Giving = $5,829

  • 99pledges took out 2.9% for a “credit card fee and .30/transaction bringing out amount that we deposited from them into our bank account to : $24,189.90

  • Bringing our grand total received to our checking account to $30,018.90 (We raised $30,936.)

Donut Holes from Preschool Prom Recap

  • Prom was March 24th they are requesting PTO pay for donuts and cups in individual portions

  • Donut Haus quote - $150

  • Juice cups were purchased but not used will use for Military Breakfast 

Book Fair Dates 

  • April 24th-28th

  • Sign up genius from Mrs. Schlise to volunteer 

Military Breakfast

  • Friday April 14th 

  • We provide food and decor

  • 62 possible kids if they all come-  active duty and reserves only for this breakfast 

  • 937 Inc will be making shirts for Purple Up (PTO bought shirt for our military children) cost PTO $530

  • Shirts will be delivered on April 13th to classrooms

  • Military child book for prizes and one for the library 5 books total 

  • Amount budgeted $300 (probably will need to raise this amount with the number of people attending)  for donuts holes, muffins and fruit and juice and milk

May - Homeless Shelter Drive

  • Hope House Mission- they are located in Middletown they have very little supplies and goods for meals for homeless women and children. Their budget is very low. They are in need of snacks, staples, fruit, vegetables, etc.   We will have a very specific list of items needed as far as food items for kids in the shelter

  • Date for this event - First week of May 

  • Popsicles for classes who bring in the most items

Staff Appreciation Week 

  • May 8-12th 

  • $500-700/meal - Newspring will do one and PTO will do the others 

  • Need to ask for raffle donations for teachers each board member will be assigned local businesses to ask 

  • Each teacher gets 4 tickets to try to win for raffles

  • $20 Coupon Code from 937ink for Spirit Wear

  • Bus Driver Blitz special treat for bus drivers 

Spirit Wear Sale 

  • April 11/12th Start date - April 23rd, 2023

  • Delivered to school the week of Staff Appreciation 

1st grade Splash Night

  • quotes for slides $418 for a single child 15 foot slide and $99 for inflatable basketball hoop, A1 rentals has a double for $699 available 

  • PTO came to a vote  to rent two double slides if available or one double side depending on availability 

  • Sprinkler with fire department 

  • Kona Ice provided paid by parents- BOOKED 

  •  and will have parents bring their own lawn chairs 

Buiding Wish List Items

  • Outdoor Storage Cabinet for sensory garden -  6 x 8 Duramx @ HomeDepot $800 PTO voted in favor 

  • 2-Outside Trash Receptacles for playground and sensory garden - Estimated at $600/ea PTO voted in favor 

Upcoming end of year events:

  • Splash Night May 19th 6-7 pm 

  • Kindergarten in-house field trip

  • Kona Ice / Field Day BOOKED $1423.50

  • K and W Trip

President and Vice President position openings will go live next week and will vote at May PTO meeting
